Details of duty leading to the death of the Martyr - On 04/08/2012, he along with 1(one) section of 67 Bn E-Company CRPF were deputed for Naka Checking duty at Mahavir Park, Jhalupara from 12 am to 2 am. At about 1:10 am, one truck (unknown no.) came from the MES Junction direction in high speed, hit him and fled away towards District Council Point. As a result of which, he sustained injuries on his person and was immediately shifted to Civil Hospital, Shillong where he succumbed to his injuries.
