Details of duty leading to the death of the Martyr - On 19/03/2009, while he was attached to Lumdiengjri Traffic Branch and detailed for "No Entry" duty for trucks from 7:00 Am to 7:00 Pm at Mawiong, Shillong along with UBC/2024 T.K. Rabha and UBC/671 L. Rabha at about 1:45 Pm, while they were performing duty, one truck bearing Registration No. ML-05-F-1914 being driven by Shri Trat Sing Nongbsap S/o (L) Phreem Dohtdong of Lawmai came at a very high speed in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against him, causing grievous injuries on his person to which helater succumbed.
