(L) ABC Tulen Khakhalary

Details of duty leading to the death of the Martyr - On 1st December 1990 at about 10.45 AM while (Lt) ABC/304 Tulen Khakhalary was on guard at the Ampati Sub-Treasury Office,12(Twelve) armed miscreants with a view to loot cash from the Sub-Treasury, opened indiscriminate firing on the said guard, killing him on the spot and entered into the office. While the Treasury guard was engaging the armed militants the Treasury Officer could conceal the key of the Cash Room and the miscreants left without being able to take away the cash. However the service rifle of the slain constable was taken away by the miscreants.
