Details of duty leading to the death of the Martyr - On 16/08/1999, while he was returning after an enquiry into a case; and on reaching Rangagora road of Bolijora AD Camp under Bajengdoba Outpost, a powerful bomb exploded under his vehicle which was planted by ANVC/NDFB militants. As a result of which, he died on the spot.
