Details of duty leading to the death of the Martyr - On 19.1.2001 while he along with other staff were on duty inside the room at Kenches Traces B/H, some unidentified militants suspected to be HNLC militants carrying sophisticated weapons entered into the room and opened indiscriminate fire as a result of which he and (Lt.) H/C Harihar Ram died on the spot.
