Details of duty leading to the death of the Martyr - On 01.12.2008 at around 6:30 Am - 4:45 Pm, (L) UBC/13 Sunday Dkhar and UBC/28 A.K. Marak have been detailed for no entry duty for the heavy vehicles at Lalong No Entry. During their duty hours at about 3:00 PM, 1(one) empty truck bearing registration No. ML 04-9758 being driven by one Shri Sunday Phawa of Lalong village while overtaking one standing truck hit against UBC/13 Sunday Dkhar at Ialong on NH-44. As a result of which, he received grievous injuries on his person and died on the spot.
