Details of duty leading to the death of the Martyr - On 13/12/1990, he was detailed for U.T.P. escort duty from Nongpoh to Shillong on reaching Umiam (Barapani), he was hit from behind by the U.T.P. with handcuff on his head. As a result of which, he succumbed to his injuries.
