Details of duty leading to the death of the Martyr - On 09/09/2002 at around 01:00 PM he along with his police party were proceeding from Baghmara to Chokpot for anti-insurgency operation in a Police Vehicle on reaching at a place called Bolchugre Dodegitok a group of ANVC militants ambushed the party and opened fire from their AK rifles and lobbed powerful grenades on Police vehicle. As a result, the vehicle went down a gorge and caught fire. All 5 (five) Police personnel including him were killed and burnt inside the vehicle along with their arms and ammunitions.
