Details of duty leading to the death of the Martyr - On 10/03/2015 at about 10:30 am, he being a member of a police party were proceeding to Baghmara from Rongara in a departmental vehicle (Maruti Gypsy king) for duty and on reaching at Panda Reserve Forest, a group of heavily armed GNLA militants led by Sohan D Shira who were laying ambush for police vehicle at Panda Reserve Forest suddenly attacked police vehicle. As a result of which he and 3(three) others were killed on the spot. During search 3 nos cap of GNLA and one live ammunition of AK Rifle was recovered from the PO and the same has been seized accordingly.
