Details of duty leading to the death of the Martyr - He along with 116(one hundred sixteen) personnel drawn from various Districts and Units were selected for undergoing training on " Counter Insurgency Jungle Warfare Training Course" at Counter Insurgency and Jungle Warfare School, ITBP, Mahidanda, District : Uttarakhand w.e.f. 23.08.2012 to 15.10.2012. On 15.09.2012 while undergoing their training, he met with a fatal accident as a result of which he received injuries and was shifted to District Hospital, Uttarakhand where he was declared dead.
