Details of duty leading to the death of the Martyr - On 05/11/1999 at around 6:40 PM, while he was performing duty at Nongthymmai Beat House, some unknown miscreants suspected to be HNLC armed with AK-47 rifles started firing at the BH from outside. As a result of which, received bullet injuries, and he was removed to Civil Hospital for treatment but succumbed to his injuries.
