(L) ASI Pamir M Marak

Details of duty leading to the death of the Martyr -  On the 18th August 1996 information was received from the villagers of Masumatagre village that 4(four) armed persons are camping in a hut at the Masumatagre Warigrudha Jhum area. On this information a Police Party under Late ASI Pamir M. Marak was dispatched to raid the area and apprehend the armed miscreants. While the Police party was approaching the area, the armed miscreants on seeing the Police patty opened fire and during the encounter ASI Pamir M. Marak who was leading the party in the front received bullet injuries and died on the spot.
