Details of duty leading to the death of the Martyr - On 28th February, 2003 after completion of Poll, he was escorting the Polling parties of 55 Gasuapara Constituency to Tura. While reaching at Gasuapara some unknown miscreants opened fire and during the gun battle the said ASI received bullet injury and succumbed to death.
