Details of duty leading to the death of the Martyr - On 21/06/1996, he was detailed for Special duty at Mawlai Nonglum (Madanheh) area for collecting the information about the militants. Some unknown militants suspected to be H.N.L.C. fired at him with sophisticated weapons at as a result of which, he sustained bullet injuries and died on the spot.
