Details of duty leading to the death of the Martyr - On 23/03/2008, he was deputed for Assembly Election Duty to South Garo Hills, Baghmara along with other force personnel on a requisition bus bearing Registration No. ML-08-A-7795. Accidentally, he fell down from the bus and sustained head injuries on his person. Immediately, he was shifted to Tura Civil Hospital for medical treatment where he succumbed to his injuries.
