- Shri Anjnee Chandra Prakash lodged a complaint that on May 20, 2026, unknown miscreant(s) stole six batteries, one KVA UPS, one LPU, etc., valued around Rs. 5,23,510/- from the junction box installed at Malki, Shillong.
- A male resident of a locality in Shillong lodged a complaint that between March 14, 2026 and May 20, 2026, two persons viz., (1) Achin Bumb and (2) Pankaj Jain, cheated him of Rs. 2 lakhs.
BSF personnel of BOP Lyngkhat (EKH) lodged (May 20) a complaint that one scooter (without registration number) suspected to be stolen was recovered from Lyngkhat area.
- Smt. Manju Marak lodged a complaint that on May 20, 2026 around 4.45 am, unknown miscreant(s) broke into her shop at Nongrah, Lummarboh, Shillong, and stole several grocery items, unspecified amount of cash, etc.
- On May 19, acting on input, Police detained / seized one vehicle (AS-13C-1031) at Upper Watregre village (WGH) for its alleged involvement in illegal transportation of cattle from Assam, while its occupants managed to escape. However, later, Police apprehended seven individuals from Raksamgre (WGH), in this connection.
- A resident of a locality in West Garo Hills District lodged a complaint that on May 10, 2026, he made an advance payment of Rs. 9,000/- online, to one Chingrak Momin, for the purchase of one iPhone. However, upon not receiving the item till May 19, 2026, the complainant realized that he has been cheated.
- Shri Rup Miah lodged a complaint on behalf of one Shri Sherif Ch Marak that on May 19, 2026, Shri Sherif Ch Marak learnt that unknown miscreant(s) stole about eighty items from the stone crushing site at Kokaimari village (WGH). However, the complainant suspected one Alarudin of being involved in the act.
- Coy Commander, G-Coy, 160th Bn., BSF, BOP Lokaichar, South West Garo Hills (SWGH) lodged a complaint that on May 19, 2026 at about 8.05 pm, acting on inputs, BSF personnel conducted search operation in the jungle area near Gilajuripara village area; during which, a mob attacked them with lethal weapons, causing injuries to SI RP Amos and ASI Raj Mohan and one of the attackers were identified as one Saalsing of Merangipara village.
